Sweater Parts

So I was feeling a bit under the weather today, and let myself spend quite a bit of time on the couch as a result. After a while I was feeling so unproductive that I needed to do something, but I knew I definitely didn't want to think about the piles of school work and research I need to take care of, so I finally figured out how to make my external hard drive work with my computer, and then put my music on the new HD. It was taking up more space than I realized, and my computer hard drive didn't have enough room to download the boatloads of pictures I have taken over the past few years, but once I got everything running I downloaded the pics and I am so happy! This is something I have been wanting to do for a while, and it's not exactly that I am technology phobic or anything, but I do seem to have some avoidance issues when it comes to learning how to use the stuff I've got. And that's just lame, with no excuse.

Hence, pictures of my sweater in progress. The photos aren't great-- I really need to figure out how to take pics that really look like what I've got in front of me. I'm guessing part of it is needing a better camera, but I bet a good part is using the one I've got a little better.

Here is the front: And the back:

I am hoping the sleeves don't take me too long-- they are a bit more complicated, as they involve starting with two separate pieces and joining them, then re-establishing the pattern. But I am trying to do them both at once-- I finished the first pieces of the left sleeve and joined them, and now I am on the the right, and that way I figure I can work the increases without getting too confused or forgetting something. So the sweater might not fit once I get it done, but at least it won't fit in a uniform sort of way! And although I am yet to experience the joys of blocking, I do have faith that it may help me get the sucker to fit.

As for this being my first sweater, I am still quite excited about it, and it hasn't been as hard as I thought it might be (then again, it's not done yet, who knows how painful this will become??)

Oh, and good job today Buckeyes!! You kept us on the edge of our seats at the end of the game, but it was worth it! I am particularly happy about the win, as a loss this early in the tournament would have busted my bracket.
I have to say, I definitely have a case of March Madness!
