Lately I have been feeling so blah (as I revealed in my last post). Sometimes I feel so passionate and so creative that I can't wait to work on all my projects. And then other times I feel like now-- tired, needing a break. A break from what? I'm not always sure. I know taking a break from something can allow for a return to it with fresh eyes. But how long to wait?
My question: How do you renew your passion? How do you keep it fresh, keep it interesting?

I go through highs and lows, too. Sometimes being away from my passion allows it to renew. Of my several passions, natural horsemanship and fiber arts are the main ones. Occasionally, I lose interest for awhile in my horsey life; but then, because I'm a member of the Parelli Savvy Club, every month I get a new DVD or magazine. The DVDs inspire me, remind me of why I got into horses in the first place. With fibers, I'll see a project on knitblogs that everyone seems to be doing, and away we go. LOL! Hence the CPH KAL. I'm only four inches into the ribbing and I've been hosting the KAL for over six months. I'll get back to it eventually--seeing everyone else's beautiful FOs nudges me to put down the socks and pick up the CPH. Just recently, I got a sewing bug again. I made 3/4ths of a cute knitting needle case set (the last piece is the tote, in progress now) after finding a pattern and finding the most "fantabulous" 70's-inspired fabric. My next sewing WIP is a long tunic that was inspired by watching "Armisted Maupin's Tales of the City" (rented from NetFlix). The character Mona is wearing an awesome tunic in one scene, and I thought "I need one!" The fabric and pattern await my attention. So my passion waxes and wanes and is fed by the inspirations of others as well as my environment. Fear not--the mojo does return.
And that is a very long comment. :-)
